What benefit is a network to churches? Why a network?

Because we are Better Together…

  • …to treasure Christ continually (keep our eyes on the Treasure)

  • …to strengthen us into gospel-formed churches (prongs) that hold up the treasure who is Christ (Diamond)

  • …to obeying the Great Commission. Fulfilling this Commission requires each other.

How do we obey the Great Commission better together?
(Benefits of Partnership with TCTN)

We are a theologically like-minded, gospel-formed family of churches who joyfully

  • Serve pastors and wives and

  • Support churches to start and (re)start Christ-treasuring churches

Serve

(Serving pastors and wives)

  • Pray - We provide churches opportunities to share specific ways to pray and disseminate that to all the TCT churches so we are praying for one another and communicating to our churches how we are interconnected for Christ’s kingdom purposes.

    • “Prayer is not a ministry of the network but it’s how we do ministry.”

  • Equip -

    • All Calls - These are monthly calls for any pastor and wife in the network where we share stories of grace from TCT churches or gatherings, where we teach or facilitate discussion on a topic and where we create space for those on the call to ask questions that they really want to discuss.

    • National calls - Where well-known pastors speak to our network a couple times a year on a specific topic and then the attendees have a chance for Q/A

    • Tracks - TCT Tracks equip pastors and wives in the 10 dimension of TCT so that treasuring Christ is practically woven into all of life in our TCT churches.

    • Conferences - These one day conferences spiritually encourage TCT pastors and those in the region where the conference takes place. These are usually done in coordination with one or a group of TCT churches and with the aim of seeing a TCT regional network start.

    • “We want our lives to be about the sharing of joy not the gaining of notoriety.”

  • Care -

    • Seek to foster relationships for mutual care especially in regions

    • Provide a referral system for trusted counselors for pastors and wives.

    • We have a director of crisis care to provide care for your pastoral team when there is an impasse or significant trouble in your church.

  • Resource -

    • 2 couples attend for free the Annual Pastors and wives Retreat (but all pastors and wives and residents of the local TCT are invited).

    • Resources for 1 counseling session, if they will pay for one, to encourage pastors and wives to get trained help outside themselves.

    • Working towards a counseling partnership with CCEF to discount CCEF counseling courses for TCT church leaders and members

Support

(support one another to start and (re)start Christ-treasuring churches)

  • Pray -

    • We pray for TCT pastors and churches and cultivate a culture of prayer

  • Equip -

    • Provide CP residency templates, coaching and tools

    • Connection to TCT Church Planting Residencies

    • TCT Assessments - Assessing church planters for network fit and to provide local church elders feedback as they are sending out planters.

    • One Day Conferences (especially to jumpstart regional network gatherings - described above)

    • CP Weekenders for church planters and existing pastors where, in the spirit of 9 marks weekender, you get to walk 3-4 days in the life of a local church but this has a focus on church planting.

    • Partnership with BCS where church planting residents and church planters get to audit courses for free, especially the “intro church planting” course based on GCA’s Church planting foundations course and “the gospel application” course.

      • “We are about Residency-based, partnership-oriented planting and revitalization”

      • “We want to grow at the speed of relationship”

  • Care -

    • Church to church relationships are relationships that churches not ready to plant can help their congregation invest in planting.

    • Regional network gatherings are gatherings of pastors within reasonable driving distance of each other in order to treasure Christ, provide mutual care, and prayerfully strategize for local starting and restarting of Christ treasuring churches.

      • “We invest in connecting churches for kingdom advance.”

      • “We are a Network of Networks.”

    • to facilitate church connections especially for those in the first 3 years
