Charlie Handren, lead pastor at Glory of Christ Fellowship in Elk River, MN, traveled to India on a short term trip. The report he brought back is worthy of prayer for all who are concerned about our fellow believers in India. Here is his account:
“Recently the major Hindu party in India won almost unbridled control of the country. The jury is out on what this will mean for Christians, but our brothers and sisters there are deeply concerned and need our prayer support. Therefore, some of us at Glory of Christ will be devoting June 4-6 to fasting and prayer for India, and then every Friday morning thereafter for the foreseeable future.
Please consider joining with us in this. I’ve attached a brief statement I wrote and stuffed in our bulletins that you are welcome to use (and free to discard!), and I would also suggest you look at persecution.org and search for “India” as they have some very good articles on the situation. The Lord may or may not move you to join with us in this, and that’s okay, but I wanted to extend the invitation either way.”
Please consider supporting our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ through prayer. Even a moment of prayer will make a difference. May God bless his church in India and may He do what seems good to Him!
